Events
In 2017 StorPool attended several Expos and conferences. The latest ones being the Cloud Expo Europe in Frankfurt and Cloud Expo Europe in London. We got the chance to meet many of you. To tell you more about disrupting power of software-defined storage and show you how to power your cloud with high performance and reliable storage system at an excellent price point.
Also in October we took part in the OpenNebula Conference in Madrid. There StorPool’s Co-founder and Product Manager, Boyan Krosnov had a talk on the topic “Disaster recovery solution with OpenNebula and StorPool“. He presented a DR solution based on OpenNebula and developed by StorPool. Moreover, he stressed on the simplicity and efficiency of adding further functionality. This can happen without modifying the upstream OpenNebula software. You can check out the full lecture, as well as the entire conference here.
In May StorPool hosted TechDay Sofia 2017. Event, that was mainly focused on OpenNebula and its customers. There were many exciting workshops and presentations about the installation and operation of OpenNebula.
Awards
In 2017 StorPool got the honоr to be nominated for several prestigious awards. Some of which include CRN Channel Awards nomination for “Storage Vendor of the Year” and “Emerging Vendor of the Year”, as well as Emerging Market: Software Defined Storage (SDS) “Vendor of the Year”; Storage Magazine “One to watch” Award – Company, etc. Along with all the nominations, StorPool took home the Storage Magazine “One to watch” Award – Product. Boyan Ivanov, CEO of StorPool took the stage to express his joy: “We want to thank all our customers, partners and our team for their trust, dedication and hard work. Our mission is to help companies with their storage and help their business grow! This award is a small recognition for delivering on our mission”.
Projects
This year StorPool partnered with Intel on creating a solution brief, as well as a webinar on the topic “Power-up Your Cloud with Insanely Fast Storage”. StorPool presented a new perspective to the storage and explained how the infrastructure is the underlying layer of success for every cloud provider.
StorPool continued publishing new case studies, reviewing customers’ experiences. The latest video case study was with one of the major web hosting service providers – SiteGround. Using StorPool has resulted in SiteGround “having an extremely fast distributed storage.” In addition to that, SiteGround now has redundancy on all services, which is of great importance for a hosting provider.
These and many other exciting things happened in 2017. Thank you so much for being a part of our amazing year! Our only mission is to keep our customers happy and their businesses prospering. Hope we get to do even more of that in 2018.
